At age 22 I had my first born son. I raised him as a single parent even though I was married. Family life was handled differently back then and as a woman I had to step up and take care of all family matters including the financial aspect. This side tracked me a bit, not being able to be there for my son and I am sure I made lots of rookie mistakes along the way. My son is now 28 years old and I remarried fortunately. I also never gave up on the idea that what I learned and endured would make me a better parent a second time. At age 43 I began my journey once more and became a mother for second time. Everyday I live a wonderful story next to my new husband as we share similar interests and raise our 6 year old daughter as a strong team. Who knows we probably still slip some rookie mistakes but our bond is unbreakable.
