Win a Gaming PC Rig Package from Intel

You can enter the Call Of Duty PC Builder Sweepstakes from Intel Corp for your chance to win a prize package full of high-end PC components and gear to build the ultimate gaming rig. The package includes an Intel Core i9 processor, MSI motherboard, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, MSI Optix monitor, MSI Vigor gaming keyboard, MSI Clutch gaming mouse, and MSI Immerse headset. Entry ends March 28, 2019.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – a computer package like this one could really change the way I do both business and pleasure. While this particular contest doesn’t include the actual tower, you do get all the most expensive components for a high-end PC and it wouldn’t take much to take the top of the line motherboard and graphics card included in this contest and build an exceptional PC.

The components included in this contest, whence outfitted into a tower, would allow you to do virtually anything technology offers – including enough power for virtual reality, video editing, live streaming, and so much more. Even if you just want to browse the web and fill out sweepstakes entries, this contest is offering the bits that can get you there in lightening speed.

The other element to having top of the line hardware that I believe is all too often overlooked, is it’s resistance to obsolescence. For instance, among my work machines I still have a 2011 Macbook Pro. At the time I purchased it, I upgraded it with the absolute best available at that point, including an SSD, 8GB of RAM, an i7 processor and a Radeon graphics card. And while it’s beginning to show it’s age in the realm of video intensive tasks, it still runs snappily and easily handles tasks like running Adobe Photoshop, browsing the web with 10 to 20 tabs open, and playing most non-intense video games.

Another example is my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Now before you begin to chuckle at Granny’s antiquated tech, hear me out. Yes, the most current iteration of the Samsung Note series is Galaxy Note 9, putting my Note 3 a whopping six generations behind! But just like the Macbook Pro I detailed above, for it’s time, the Note 3 was arguably the best phone money could buy, competing directly with the iPhone from the same year. And once again, while it is now beginning to show it’s age, the phone is still incredibly capable 6 years after it’s release date. It’s packed with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip, 3 GBs of RAM, a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen and a 3200 mAh battery. Of course, the Note 9 packs a much faster processor, more RAM and a higher resolution screen, but believe it or not, there are phones being sold brand new right now that have pretty comparable specs. So once again, by purchasing the top of the line for it’s time technology, I was able to resist obsolescence and the need to run out the next year to get the next best thing.

While I understand not everyone can afford the tip top tech right now, and in true fact, Granny can’t afford it now either, but if you’re one of those who can, consider that your investment today could carry you far into the future, and prevent you from needing to ‘upgrade’ within a few years.

Let’s hope that one of Granny’s subscribers or fans will be the one who wins this PC package. It will serve them well and carry them far into the future.
